NOW's official series page lists Ömür Usta as a Sunday 20:00 series, and its official trailer page currently features the Episode 2 first trailer.
The series premiered with Episode 1 on September 27, 2026, and continues weekly on Sundays.
What Happens in Ömür Usta Episode 2?
Episode 2 starts with one of the biggest questions created by the first episode: why is Mete hiding his mother from the wealthy family he wants to become part of?
The Episode 2 promotion shows Ömür seeing Mete at Tunç and Nevra's house. Shocked by what she has discovered, Ömür confronts her son and asks him why he is hiding her.
This confrontation is important because Mete has been trying to keep his two worlds separate.
On one side is his mother Ömür and the difficult life his family has experienced. On the other is İpek and her wealthy family, a world Mete wants to enter without revealing his real background.
Episode 2 begins testing whether Mete can continue maintaining that double life.
Ömür Confronts Mete
Ömür has spent her life working hard to give her children a better future.
She works as an auto repair master and carries much of the responsibility for her family. Her son's behavior therefore hurts her on both a personal and emotional level.
When she sees Mete at Tunç and Nevra's home, she wants an explanation.
The Episode 2 trailer specifically highlights Ömür asking Mete:
“Sen beni kimden saklıyorsun?”
The question captures the central conflict of the episode: Mete is not simply keeping a secret. He is hiding an important part of his identity because he is ashamed of the life he comes from.
Mete's Double Life
Mete is studying medicine and has fallen in love with İpek Arıkan, the daughter of wealthy businessman Tunç Arıkan.
His relationship with İpek creates a major class difference between the two families.
Mete does not want İpek to see him as poor or to know how difficult his family life is. As a result, he has started living two separate lives.
The official story of the series confirms that Mete hides his real identity from İpek while trying to become part of her wealthy world.
Episode 2 makes this secret much harder to protect.
Nevra Discovers Ömür's Identity
Mete's secret is not the only one coming under pressure.
The Episode 2 promotion reveals that Nevra investigates Mete's family.
Her investigation leads her to an important discovery: Ömür is Mete's mother.
This discovery could change the relationship between the two families.
Nevra is already aware of the differences between her own world and Mete's background. Learning exactly who his mother is gives her information that could affect how she views Mete and his relationship with İpek.
Ömür and Nevra
The relationship between Ömür and Nevra is another important part of the series.
They come from completely different social environments.
Ömür's life is built around work, family responsibility and survival. Nevra, meanwhile, belongs to a wealthy family where reputation and social image are important.
Their paths become connected through Mete and İpek.
The series therefore uses their relationship to explore one of its main themes: class differences and the pressure they place on families and relationships. NOW describes the series as a story involving economic inequality, social pressure, family bonds and the struggle to hold on to life.
Nazlı's Story
Ömür's problems are not limited to Mete.
Her daughter Nazlı is also facing an unexpected situation.
The first episode established that Nazlı has a personal secret that could create another serious problem for the family. Episode 2 continues this storyline alongside Ömür's confrontation with Mete.
This means Ömür is dealing with several problems at once: her son's hidden life, her daughter's situation, financial pressure and the complicated return of people from her past.
Tunç and Ömür
Tunç Arıkan is another key figure in Ömür's story.
The two have a connection that goes beyond their children's relationship.
NOW's official series information explains that Ömür's path crosses with Tunç, a successful chef and İpek's father. Their meeting brings old emotions and the possibility of a new beginning into Ömür's life.
Episode 2 continues to bring Ömür and Tunç closer to the same family conflict.
Their connection becomes even more complicated because Tunç's son is hiding his relationship with Ömür's family.

The first episode introduced Ömür Uçar, a mother raising three children while working in the male-dominated auto repair business.
