What Is A.B.İ. Series About?

A.B.İ. centers on Doğan Hancıoğlu, a successful surgeon living in İzmir who has deliberately stayed away from his family and their troubled past.

When he travels to Istanbul for his sister's wedding, Doğan is pulled back into the Hancıoğlu family's complicated world. His return places him directly in the middle of a struggle involving his authoritarian father Tahir, his ambitious brother Sinan, and other members of the family.

At the same time, Doğan's path crosses with Çağla, a young lawyer who is connected to the family's complicated history through her relationship with Behram.

Doğan initially wants to leave the family behind again, but the secrets surrounding his relatives make that increasingly difficult. His sense of justice and his desire to protect the people close to him eventually force him to confront problems he had spent years avoiding.

The official ATV synopsis describes the series as the story of Doğan, a man who tried to escape his family's dark past but is eventually forced to face the secrets waiting for him.

A.B.İ. Season 1 Story

The first season establishes the complicated relationship between Doğan and his family.

After returning to Istanbul, Doğan becomes involved in the Hancıoğlu family's internal power struggle. His relationship with his father Tahir is particularly difficult, while his brother Sinan represents another source of tension.

As the story develops, Doğan and Çağla begin searching for answers surrounding the family's past. One important mystery involves a black box containing information about Yusuf Usta's death, which becomes increasingly important as hidden truths begin to surface.

The first season gradually increases the pressure around Doğan. Family secrets, criminal connections, betrayal, and questions about past deaths push him further into a conflict he never wanted.

By the end of Season 1, the Hancıoğlu family's situation has changed dramatically, setting up the much darker second season.

A.B.İ. Season 2

Season 2 of A.B.İ. officially began on September 8, 2026, with Episode 19.

The new season introduces a major time jump and changes the balance of power within the Hancıoğlu family.

After everyone believes Doğan is dead, the truth eventually emerges eight months later. Doğan has survived, but he discovers that his family has fallen apart and that control of the Hancıoğlu family's assets has passed to Saruhan.

Instead of immediately revealing that he is alive, Doğan decides to hide his survival and create his own plan.

His return becomes even more complicated when he unexpectedly encounters Leyla, someone from his past. Their reunion brings unfinished emotions and old secrets back into the story.

Meanwhile, Saruhan continues his own plans, creating a new conflict between Doğan, Saruhan, and Leyla.

This gives Season 2 a different direction from the opening season, with revenge, hidden identities, family power, and unresolved relationships becoming central elements of the story. ATV's official Episode 19 synopsis confirms this new storyline.

Why A.B.İ. Is Interesting to Turkish Drama Fans

The story includes:

• Family secrets
