What Is Güneşin Doğduğu Yer About?

At the center of Güneşin Doğduğu Yer is the love between Kenan Kozan and Leyla Breger.

Their story begins in Germany on the day the Berlin Wall falls. Leyla enters the middle of the events while taking photographs, and her path crosses with Kenan.

The meeting develops into a powerful relationship. For Leyla, falling in love with a Turkish man is something she never expected. For Kenan, loving Leyla forces him to question many of the things he previously considered certain.

When their story moves to Adana, their relationship encounters a very different environment.

Kenan belongs to the influential Kozan family and carries strong responsibilities toward his family. His mother, Celadet, has her own plans for her son's future.

Kenan is therefore caught between his love for Leyla and his loyalty to his family.
