What Is Başkalarının Hayatı About?

The story follows Hülya, an ambitious young woman from a poor family who earns a partially funded place at university.

Her mother works as a tailor, while her older sister helps support the family and pays for Hülya's education. Hülya is determined to change her circumstances and build the kind of life she has only been able to watch from a distance.

At university, Hülya meets Neslihan, the daughter of a wealthy and influential family. Their friendship gives Hülya access to a luxurious world that is completely different from her own.

Hülya also meets Dr. Sarp, a man who immediately attracts her attention. She initially believes that Sarp is part of the wealthy world she wants to enter.

Meanwhile, Neslihan is worried about the return of her childhood love Erim, who is coming back from London. Neslihan is hiding a painful secret from him, and Hülya becomes the person she trusts during this difficult period.

As Hülya becomes more involved in Neslihan's life, friendship, ambition and love begin to collide.

Hülya's Ambition

Hülya is not simply interested in observing the wealthy world around her. She wants to become part of it.

Her friendship with Neslihan gives her an opportunity to enter a lifestyle she has always dreamed about. But the deeper Hülya becomes involved, the more complicated her relationships become.

The series explores what happens when ambition crosses the boundaries of friendship, love and trust.

Episode 1 Story

In the first episode, Hülya's university life changes after she meets Neslihan.

Hülya enters the Özkaran mansion and becomes fascinated by Neslihan's luxurious family life. Neslihan tells Hülya about the fire that took her mother's life years earlier and left her with a disabled arm. She is also afraid that Erim will not accept her after returning from London.

Hülya supports Neslihan during her difficult meeting with Erim. At the same time, she meets Dr. Sarp again and learns that he is Erim's closest friend.

As tensions rise between Neslihan and Erim, Hülya finds herself increasingly involved in their relationship.

By the end of the episode, Hülya learns that her sister has lost her job and that her mother cannot afford her hospital expenses. She then makes a new decision and approaches Erim under the pretext of repairing her friendship with Neslihan.

The unexpected arrival of Sarp makes Hülya's next move even more complicated.
