Aşk ve Taht Episode 1 will premiere on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 8:00 PM on ATV. ATV's official series page and Episode 1 promotional pages currently list September 9 as the premiere date.
The premiere marks the beginning of the series' story about Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat, his return from years of captivity, and his complicated relationship with Princess Destina.
What Is Aşk ve Taht Episode 1 About?
Episode 1 introduces Alaeddin Keykubat, a Seljuk prince whose life changes after spending eight years in captivity.
When Alaeddin finally leaves the dungeon, his struggle is far from over. Instead of simply returning to a peaceful life, he finds himself surrounded by political rivals, family conflicts, hidden alliances, and people who want control of the throne.
At the same time, his path crosses with Destina, the Princess of Alanya and daughter of Kir Vard. Destina comes from a completely different world and carries her own resentment toward the Seljuks.
Their first encounter places love and political conflict on the same path. As Alaeddin fights for his place in the Seljuk dynasty, Destina becomes one of the most important people in his life.
Aşk ve Taht Episode 1 Story
Alaeddin was born into the Seljuk dynasty, but his journey toward the throne is anything but easy.
After eight years of captivity, he returns with a strong desire to complete the unfinished part of his life. However, the palace he returns to is filled with people pursuing their own ambitions.
The struggle for power includes members of the Seljuk dynasty as well as influential figures inside the state. Alaeddin must deal with his brother Melik Celaleddin, who also has ambitions for the throne, while Emir Ayaba works behind the scenes to increase his own influence.

Alaeddin and Destina's Relationship
One of the central elements of Episode 1 is the meeting between Alaeddin and Destina.
They initially stand on opposite sides of a political and historical conflict. Alaeddin represents the Seljuk dynasty, while Destina is the princess of Alanya.
Their relationship is expected to develop from confrontation and hostility toward a deeper emotional connection. ATV describes the wider story as a journey from enmity to love, with their relationship becoming connected to the future of Anatolia and the Seljuk state.
